About the founder
Luntadila Paulo, CPA, MBA
Luntadila Paulo, an immigrant from Angola, is a pan-African, global citizen, and entrepreneur. He founded Yeto Accounting and Tax PLLC in 2019 to help small business owners minimize their tax burden legally and ethically while assisting them in building their net worth. Since then, Paulo has helped hundreds of taxpayers save money on taxes, gain confidence with their finances, start a journey to build wealth, and lead a life free of fear of the IRS.
Paulo’s professional experience also includes consulting, accounting and assurance, fund administration, and investment banking. Paulo had financial reporting responsibility for more than 12 funds with a combined asset under management (AUM) above $5 billion, managed deal flow totaling over $90 million in capital raising efforts, and oversaw M&A transactions with more than $100 million in enterprise value.
He has an MBA from Eastern Illinois University and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Michigan State University. Paulo is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and he has Series 79 and 63 accreditations. Paulo is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Michigan Association of CPAs.
In his free time, Paulo enjoys creating educational content (Udemy Courses), cooking, and playing soccer.
Our Founder's Journey
Paulo grew up in a country broken by a 27-year civil war. Due to the war, his family escaped to Kinshasa, DRC, as war refugees. Despite the challenges, his parents instilled in him values such as discipline, a strong work ethic, and commitment to one's goals as keys to achieve success in any endeavor. As immigrants back to his country, Angola, after the civil war, his father taught him and his brother Portuguese in 6 months to be able to start school. Several years later, their academic success provided them the opportunity to compete with more than 5,000 candidates for 500 scholarships to study abroad.
After arriving in the U.S. as an international student in 2013, Paulo managed to learn English in 9 months before starting my college education. As determined as he was, not only did he finish college, he was able to also complete the MBA program as one of the top graduates while working as a graduate assistant; and pass all four parts of the Uniform CPA exam as he worked in public accounting.
In the U.S. not only did he find the opportunity to pursue the American Dream, but he found a new home where he now contributes to the success of countless small businesses and families both in the U.S and across Africa as a CPA and a business advisor.
